This modern take on the knitted cover sock keeps all the attributes of its historic predecessor: the soft fabric, stretch and close-fitting cut; but propels it into the modern age through water-resistant membrane technology.

These cycling shoe covers will shrug off showers, keep your feet dry and let you glide through puddles without concern. The three-layer construction with a fully waterproof membrane protects your feet from road spray and winter downpours. They are luxuriously soft and comfortable, but also feature reinforcement to the hems on the underside of each shoe cover to reduce wear.

The Flandrien Knitted Road Shoe Covers are minimalist in style and subtly branded, yet they deliver the height of modern technology. They will keep you comfortable in all weather, while preserving that true Classics style. The premium soft knitted fabric offers supreme warmth retention and protection from cool temperatures and wind chill, so these will keep you warm on winter rides as well as repelling road spray on wetter rides.

Thanks to the elasticated soft knit material, there is a close and comfortable fit around your cycling shoes with minimal fabric bulk. Comfort is furthered by the zipperless cuff design which reduces irritation, increases flexibility and extends the product life compared to standard zip designs.

The membrane in these cycling shoe covers is waterproof, so assuming you don’t drag them over cobbles and put holes in them, then they will keep your feet dry. There are limits however… hosepipes and knee-deep puddles, for example, will likely find a way inside.

Q&A

Will they keep my feet dry?
Yes. The membrane in these shoe covers is waterproof, so assuming you don’t damage this membrane they will keep your feet dry. There are limits however… hosepipes and knee-deep puddles for example, will likely find a way inside.

My feet are still wet despite the overshoes. How can that be?
Make sure that no water can run down the legs into the top of the shoe covers by wearing your leg warmers above the top of the covers. Please note that water can also ingress through cleat and ventilation holes from the sole of the shoes.

Will they keep my feet warm?
These shoe covers are most suited to cool and mild conditions and can be used in cold conditions depending on the rider's preference. While the waterproof membrane will help a lot with keeping you warm, this is not a deep winter product and we do not advise wearing it on cold or sub-zero long rides. They might not be warm enough for everyone in colder winter conditions, but this is also highly individual.

Can I use them with SPD shoes for MTB and gravel riding?
No. They are only suitable for road cycling while wearing road cycling shoes. Although they might fit over your gravel or MTB shoes, the tread pattern and enhanced studs on the soles will likely cause fabric damage, regardless of whether you walk around in them or not, and void the product's warranty.
