The GripGrab AquaShield 2 Waterproof Gravel Shoe Covers are an evolution of the renowned GripGrab AquaShield, with a stronger construction and increased ease of use. They are now available in both a road version and this gravel version.

The zipperless design and anatomic cut offer a high level of comfort and waterproofing. The fabric's stretch allows you to adjust the shoe cover on your leg before putting on your shoes. The cuff should sit just underneath the calf muscle for optimal leg and sock protection. You can then put your shoes on and stretch the cover over them, securing them with the hook and loop closure under the sole.

This Gravel version of the AquaShield 2 combines PU-coated polyester with neoprene and Kevlar. The toe area is protected with a rubber insert to prevent damage when stopping and walking, while Kevlar is used underneath the forefoot for extra durability. These two elements help protect the PU body of the shoe cover from damage caused by tires, pedals, and vegetation. The opening in the base is specifically designed for gravel shoes with small cleats such as SPD and rubber sole lugs.

Are the AquaShield 2 Gravel overshoes also compatible with flat pedal shoes or road cycling shoes?
No, the AquaShield 2 Gravel shoe covers are exclusively designed to be used with slim mountain bike or gravel bike shoes. They are best suited for off-road race shoes with laces or dials. Sharp ratchets should be avoided.

How do I put these shoe covers on?
You need to pull these shoe covers on BEFORE you put on your gravel cycling shoes. Close your shoes and pull the covers down your leg and over the shoes. At the end, close the hook-and-loop strap on the sole of the covers around the sole of your shoes.

Are the AquaShield 2 Gravel overshoes warm enough to be used in winter?
They are not primarily designed to offer deep winter insulation. In our experience, they work best in a range of 5 to 20° C, but that is highly individual. Some customers may find them sufficiently warm for winter, others will need thicker shoe covers.

Can I wash these shoe covers in the washing machine?
No, please do not put these shoe covers in the washing machine. Only hand wash, for example with a garden hose or damp cloth. Do not bleach, Do not wring, Do not tumble dry, Do not iron. Let hang to dry.
