Saving up to 8 watts at 45 km/h has probably never been easier and cheaper! The GripGrab FastStream Aero Dial Covers are a simple, yet highly effective way to ride even faster. Tested and developed with the professional riders of Team Uno-X Mobility, the FastStream Aero Dial Covers smooth the airflow over the fastening dials of your road cycling shoes. They work best on road cycling shoes with 2 dials, reducing the air turbulence created by the protruding dials.

When you pull on these covers, you mean business! You want to ride hard and fast. Conveniently, these covers only weigh a mere 18 grams per pair and therefore don’t add any significant weight to your outfit. Further, they allow you to adjust your dials on the go, so tightening up your shoes for the final sprint is no problem at all. Opposed to full shoe covers, the Dial Covers also allow foot ventilation, as they only cover around a third of your road cycling shoes. The top part is made of smooth and stretchable PU-coated Lycra fabric, that you can easily wipe clean after your ride.

Made for time trials, road races or fast club rides in summer conditions, we recommend that you reserve them for those special occasions. Putting them on for your daily commute or recovery rides is not cool.

Q&A

Are they suitable for riding in summer?
Yes, they are suitable for riding in summer conditions, as they only cover a small part of your shoes. They will most likely be too hot if you're spending 5 hours in the saddle riding through the Alps in July, though.

Are the Dial Covers also compatible with mountain bike shoes or other closure systems?
No, the GripGrab Dial Covers are only meant to be used with road cycling shoes with dial closures. They are also compatible with lace road shoes, but not with ratchets.

How many watts do they save?
We tested these dial covers together with the professional riders of Uno-X Mobility Pro Cycling at 45km/h, where they saved 8 watts.

Are the Dial Covers wind- and waterproof?
They are windproof, but not waterproof. Please note that their primary purpose is not weather protection, but to smooth the airflow around the dials of your road cycling shoes. If you're looking for weather protection as well, have a look at the FastStream Aero Shoe Covers.
