Reporting: The Content Production Manager reports to the Chief Marketing & Digital Officer (CMDO).


JOB DESCRIPTION & OBJECTIVES

You will lead our end-to-end content production from planning to execution; to post-production adaptation and delivery; for our product marketing content, marketing campaign material, and product packaging assets.

You must be able to structure, plan, and execute complex content productions and deliveries, following strict brand creative and content guidelines.

The goal is to ensure the company’s content production hub supplies best-in-class assets for our product marketing, brand marketing, and retail partner marketing channels.


The top 4 objectives are:


  • End-to-end planning and project management: own the overall planning, project management, and successful delivery of content by the newly established content production hub.
  • Pre-production: Our sales & marketing machine will have different content requirements in the form of POS photo and video shot lists, campaign media requirements, and prescriptive brand and creative guidelines; you must take these guidelines and develop detailed production plans—ensuring all content needs are met, and all elements of production (f.x. shoot location, models, designers, copywriters, photographers, videographers) are considered and managed. This includes the creation of a complete internal manual with comprehensive SOP’s for all parts of the POS-delivery.
  • During productions: Project manage all content production (studio photos, graphic designs, and lifestyle productions) and co-direct the shoots in alignment with the creative director
  • Post-production:Project manage post-production: ensuring all content is delivered to the respective channels in a timely manner and in the best possible format for that sales/marketing channels. Own the delivery process and safe storage of all marketing content.

RESPONSIBILTIES

As Content Production Manager you are responsible for our end-to-end content production from planning, execution to post adaptation for our distribution channels, marketing campaigns and packaging assets. Specific duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Create and develop multimedia (video/still/audio/infographic) content based on creative and content guidelines for our Marketing Director team.
  • Manage all production and project administration e.g., budget creation, timelines, casting briefs, studio/photography briefs, model release forms, kit sourcing, and booking travel arrangements.
  • Ensure treatments meet specific briefs/guidelines: Script, storyboard, budget, allocate resources, set deadlines, and select optimal forms of media for projects.
    Complete manual with SOP’s for all parts of the POS-delivery
  • Track and monitor production costs and reconcile projects upon completion.
  • Understand and ensure legal requirements.
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team, to establish project deliverables from pre- to post-production.
  • Collaborate closely with our creative director and channel directors to facilitate the creation of multimedia content.
  • Plan shoots: scout, select and reserve shoot locations.
  • Develop production schedules.
  • Select and hire additional crew and talent; direct and coach talent; make transportation arrangements for crew, talent, and equipment; and ensure all location power needs are met. Sourcing external production companies to collaborate with including directors, photographers, sound artists, actors, and editors.
  • Reserve and rent equipment.
  • Project manage all productions and co-direct the shoots in alignment with the creative director.
  • Project manage post-production editingand end-point delivery of plug-and-play content for all marketing channels
  • Manage video and media library.
  • Provide production supportfor live events when required.
  • Project manage studio day-to-day tasks and ad-hoc duties around the studio.
  • Evaluate and optimize ongoing content production.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATION

Since we are passion brand it is important that you have a sincere personal passion for cycling and extensive knowledge of the cycling industry and ‘language’.

Besides that, the following requirements and skills are important:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as content production manager in similar settings.
  • Must have strong shooting experience from planning, executing and post-production, be able to manage large production shoot and be confident working independently on location. Preferably experience with creating complete manuals with SOP’s for all parts of the POS-delivery.
  • The right person will have an enthusiastic “can do” approach and will be always prepared to go the extra mile.
  • The candidate will have a keen attention to detail and take due care in creation of all work.
  • Must have strong experience with post-production and channel adaption. Entails multiple POS retail assets, marketing campaign material and packaging assets ranging from stills, video, audio. Involves digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.
  • The candidate will demonstrate initiative and not be afraid to pitch in, beyond day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; self-confident and organized team player.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are a strong self-starter.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills.
  • Proven influencing and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent English skills.

While many content producers possess the technical skills needed for the job, strong soft skills are just as important to hiring managers. This includes stellar written and verbal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to thrive in a team environment, and an aptitude for making quick, quality decisions. Finally, remaining calm under pressure and having a great sense of humour are big assets.
